Organization

The organization of the Association is composed of a Membership Assembly, an Officer’s Council and a Committee for Operations.

The Officer’s Council is composed of eighteen representatives taken from the general membership in the following format:

· three from PEMEX (Petróleos Mexicanos)…the Mexican Petroleum Company;
· two from CFE (Comisión Federal de Electricidad)…the Federal Power Commission;
· two from SENER (Secretaría de Energía)...Mexican Department of Energy;
· one from LyFC (Luz y Fuerza del Centro)…Power and Light Company
· one from the section of natural gas distribution companies;
· one from the section of propane gas distribution companies;
· one from the section of companies producing and distributing lubricants;
· one from the section of private electrical generating companies;
· one from the section of suppliers of goods and services to the petroleum industry;
· one from the section of suppliers of goods and services to the electrical industry;
· one from the section of large energy consumer companies;
· one from the section of non-governmental organizations related to the energy section;
· one from the section of academic institutions;
· one from the section of research institutions.

The Officer’s Council is presided over by:
· a President;
· a Vice President of Administration and Finance;
· a Vice President of Studies;
· a Vice President of Events and Programs;
· Supported by a Secretary and a Treasurer.

These six people constitute the Operating Committee of the Association and the Secretary functions as the Executive Director, carrying out the operations of the Association with the support of a local staff.

The Membership Assembly is the highest organism of the Association and is presided by the President of the Officer ’s Council.
