1. To promote the development and peaceful uses of energy
resources for the benefit of all, in Mexico as well as in the
world; to act in accordance with the Memorandum and Articles of the
World
Energy Council; to pay the annual fee of the World Energy Council
considering that the Association is the Mexican member of the
Council; and to satisfy those requirements established in Article
3 of the
charter of the Council regarding obligations of the member
committees.
2. To be a forum for discussion for the creation of consensus regarding
the different problems within the energy sector.
3. To carry out analyses and studies regarding energy
in México
and abroad stressing, but not limited to, technical, economic,
legal, regulatory and public policy aspects related to hydrocarbons,
electrical
energy, radioactive minerals, nuclear energy and any other
source of energy, as well as any environmental aspects in the context
of
sustainable development.
4. To promote scientific and technical research of all aspects related
to energy and to support cooperation among entities of the private
and public sectors in México as well as abroad.
5. To disseminate information about the processes involved in the
energy system in order to improve understanding of the energy sector.
